I love to discover artists that use a medium in a way you wouldn’t expect usually.

Mr. Frivolous is one of these, he makes brilliant illustrations (mostly portraits) with felt tips and, oh my, the esthetic is so refreshing!

Oh yes, I’m moving in less than two days now. The new place is HUGE and I intend to really make it my own … and also my boyfriend’s but he doesn’t care about decoration as much as I do!

So I bougth some furnitures, the most important stuff such as a bed, two desks, a couch, a fridge… but I have close to nothing when it comes to decoration elements. What to get? I’m dreaming about expensive art prints, glorious lights and huge mirrors but let’s be more realistic for the moment and put “birds” in the vintage category search bar on Etsy.com.

Yet another cheesy song! I love the violons and the beat…

Not too much commisionned work these last two weeks. This means more time to spend on my other projects and, among some other things, I made this illustration. It was quite a challenge because I’m really not used to spend this much time on a piece. I have a lot of difficulties focusing on just one thing for more than two days! It’s a terrible flaw for a graphic designer, I know.

Now I look at these poodles and, well, I’m proud of myself. It wasn’t even that long. Of course it’s not exactly finished, I think some of the shadows are too light, some areas aren’t detailed enough… but I’m eager to finish it and I already have an idea for the next one. Maybe it’s too early to say (because I change my mind too often) but I really want to make about 10 pieces of this size (15.7 x 15.7 in.). We’ll see, right ?

Hello!

Needless to say, my one post a day utopia has been a complete disaster… regular blogging is just not something that I can fit in my planning, not right now anyway :)

I really do want to post around here but I still have to think about how/when/what I could post. Maybe I’ll start posting in french also, this way I won’t be stuck with my bad vocabulary every two sentences (which result in me posting only pictures) and I think most of my reader are french so writting in english is almost silly…

Some posts ago I talked about selling some of my clothes…. tadaaa!

It took me a bit more time than expected but I made a new blog just for my sales. The TV serie Mad Men is growing on me like a plant from The Little Shop of Horrors. And like everything I happen to be obsessed with, I let it inspires me in any way possible. That’s why I’m slowly but surely switching my entire wardrobe from oversized shirts to pencil skirts. Thank you Joan!
